LaVonne Torrence Berner

LaVonne Torrence Berner is founder and principal attorney at Torrence Law Office, LLC.

 

LaVonne’s career in commercial real estate began in 1999 and includes representing national and regional landlords, retailers and the government of the District of Columbia in a wide range of complex shopping center, mixed use, new development, street retail, office and transactions. LaVonne also routinely counsels multi-family and residential portfolio investors in transactional and operational matters.

 

Prior to founding Torrence Law Office, LLC, LaVonne was on the team of lease negotiators for an international retail development and management company and an attorney at a mid-size commercial real estate law firm. LaVonne has also litigated unlawful employment practices cases in state and federal court.

 

LaVonne is applauded by clients for providing clear, strategic, and cost-conscious advice and representation and for zeroing in on the details necessary to protect client interests and address client concerns while moving transactions as swiftly as possible.   • Serve a as real estate counsel for ​The Forest Cove Limited Liability Company in the sale of the 49 unit Forest Cove Apartments to Forest Cove Apartments L.L.C. for $5,250,000.00.
  • Serve as leasing counsel for Sprint Store by Adcomm, operator of 74 Sprint retail stores. 
  • Serve as leasing counsel for the operator of Newk's Eatery at the Shoppes at Potomac Corner in negotiation of a lease for 4,377 square feet of restaurant space.
  • Serve as real estate counsel in transactional and operations matters for  K2NC, LLC, a premier Homevestors franchisee with over 300 wholesaler transaction closings. ​
